Alex Homestay Kuala Lumpur. Simple, low-cost accommodation in Central Kuala Lumpur
Ju-Marie Pieterse from South Africa: We arrived at Alex's House 2 years ago, wanting to stay only for a month. We decided to stay longer and keep the house as a base when we travel South East Asia. Every time we got back it was like walking into your own home. Friendly faces to greet you, a host that goes out of his way to help and make things comfortable. We loved staying here because we could cook and entertain our guests and have BBQ's outside; just as if it were our own home. I can recommend Alex's House to anyone looking for long term accommodation in Kuala Lumpur. It is very close to the biggest Shopping Mall ever. The train station is just a 5 minute walk away and you have shops just opposite from a playground. The little shopping area has 3 restaurants that serve Indian and Chinese cuisines. Then there are two Mom and Pop stores, a barber, hairdresser, doctor's room, laundry and more. So it is very conveniently situated. The house itself has spacious rooms and the living areas both upstairs and downstairs are fully equipped. You will love it as we have grown to love it. It is really a home from home. We are very sad to leave our family and hope to return some day in the not so distant future. Thank you Alex and Rani!! We will never forget our wonderful stay at your home. Much love John and Marie
John Raubenheimer from South Africa: Alex guesthouse turned out to be so much more than just a guesthouse. For my wife and I it became our home during a long journey in Asia. From here we traveled and returned again to the friendly faces of Alex and Rani and the other guests with whom we have become good friends. All the amenities you need are there: a shared kitchen, private bathrooms, cable television, wireless Internet, guest lounge, BBQ. I highly recommend Alex guesthouse to anyone who wants to stay in Kuala Lumpur for an extended period of time.
Keith and Tina Wojewnik from South Korea: In KL we stayed at Alex’s Guesthouse, which we had found online and booked ahead of time. The owner, Alex, has an extra home which he keeps as a guesthouse. It was in a very convenient area…literally right next to the train station, and only 2 stops away from KL. Plus, Alex was so friendly and made sure to sit down, have coffee and chat with us for at least an hour or two each day. We stayed there for 4 nights. It was very comfortable and we practically had the entire upstairs to ourselves. We had a very big room with 2 twin beds, a hot shower, closet and a kitchen and TV. The atmosphere was very clean, comfortable, safe and felt just like home. I would definitely recommend staying there if you plan on visiting KL. It was also great since we were able to learn a lot from Alex about Malaysian culture and the Muslim religion
Serafima from China: As promised, I'm enclosing the pics taken on the lunch trip to the Hindu restaurant. We found the experience to be quite enjoyable and memorable, as neither of us had ever had Hindu food or eaten on banana leaves! Thank you for the treat. We found our stay at your guesthouse very comfortable and just wanted to let you know that it was a pleasure getting to know you Rani and Alex and we also appreciated the tourist information provided, not to mention, the brochures and maps available which turned out to be very helpful in finding our way around KL. We were sorry we didn't get a chance to say goodbye to Alex before we left as he was away. We just hope he enjoyed his vacation with the family in Pangkor. We hope to return again during our future visits to KL and we hope that rooms would be available!
